Alaska BBQ Association 2010 Events.

Saturday and Sunday, July 24-25:  The 6th Annual Alaska State BBQ Championship will be held at Pioneer Park.  Set up time starts Saturday at 8:00 am.  Saturday’s events will include the Alaska Seafood and Best Steak Competitions.  The BBQ Championship categories will include Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pork Shoulder/Butt, Beef Brisket, and Sauce.  Turn in times will be announced during the event.

Saturday, August 14, 2010: the 3rd Annual FAIR BQ will be held at the Tanana Valley Fair and is currently the last contest of the season.  Set up time is 8:00 am and fair passes will be available for contestants and judges.  The categories will include Chicken, Pork Ribs, Tri-Tip, Alaska Seafood, and Sauce. The turn in times are to be announced.

Saturday, June 5, 2010 28 August 2010:  The 2nd Annual Last Rib Standing will be held in the Big I parking lot along the river.  Chicken and Pork Ribs only.  This will be a great starter event for new competitors.  Dan Gilson (Vice President) will be defending his title and David Pruhs (President) will be defending his Rib victory.  Set up time, turn in times and other details will be announced as soon as they become available.
